The average person isn’t getting enough sleep every night.

Diana Gant is one of the nation’s leaders in the study of sleep. She says most people need nine to ten hours of sleep per night to perform optimally. If people don’t get enough sleep, they’re less likely to perform well during the day.

Noah Berchman is a Kansas State University student. He says between work and school, his sleep schedule lacks consistency.
